  • Condition: A great note with the only problem being some edge roughness which you will see at the top and the bottom margins... One could probably straighten some of it out with some time. There are 10 or 11 pinholes consistent with the grade found throughout the note, but still faces up quite nicely for the grade! Great vignettes and signatures! It has NOT been cancelled as many were at the end of the war to show that they had been redeemed.

    Description

    A great note with the only problem being some edge roughness which you will see at the top and the bottom margins... One could probably straighten some of it out with some time. There are 10 or 11 pinholes consistent with the grade found throughout the note, but still faces up quite nicely for the grade! Great vignettes and signatures! It has NOT been cancelled as many were at the end of the war to show that they had been redeemed. To the left is a portrait of R.M.T. Hunter, the Secretary of State for the Confederacy and also a Confederate Senator. The center vignette is quite famous and is of General Francis Marion's Sweet Potato Dinner... This was originally a painting done by John Blake White, but it was converted to a vignette by the Confederacy and also by other issuers of obsolete banknotes, such as the Bank of the State of South Carolina. Finally, at the right is a standing Minerva holding a spear and leaning on a pillar... Perfect for any Confederate Currency collector! I TAKE OFFERS!!!!
