    Description

    Dunlap 8 Inch Draw Knife Or Drawknife. Measuring 15" overall, the blade is 8 1/8" long, 1 1/4" wide across the edge, a little less at the ends, and this weighs 1 lb 1 oz unboxed. Dunlap was one of the brand names used by Sears on their tool lines. This has the BV mark on the back so I'm guessing that this was made by Sargent for them. This is in reasonably good condition and was cleaned. The steel area of the back has some staining and a little frosting, but nothing bad at all. The iron frame has a little frosting. The top and edge are both good. The front does have some small spots of light pitting and patina. The handles both have the original finish. They have some dings and the one has a small chip on the back side, but both are solid and on tight. The one ferrule has some wear to the plating and some frosting as do the end caps. This ain't pristine, but it's a good looking tool that will get the job done. A working and collectible draw knife for sure!
