    Description

Confederate Counterfeit Currency CT-33 Richmond, Sept. 2, 1861
There were lots of efforts to throw the South into confusion as they began circulating their own southern currency. Counterfeiting was practised by many get-rich-quick scoundrels.
This CT-33 note was one of the popular ones because of the medium denomination. This note is particularly collectible because of the superb condition of the counterfeit. It has a small sissors cut at the lower left corner. There is extra paper at the top margin which reveals the green edge of the adjoining note from the original sheet. This note has a corresponding loss along its bottom left margin.  Back of note is nice and clean.  Very collectible.
