    Fifty Dollar () Bill
    Printed/Published by
    The Bank of Howardsville in Virginia.
    It is dated March (?) 18,  1861.
    It has two signatures, neither of which I can read.
    This piece of confederate currency comes from
    a family member who purchased it many decades ago.
    The bill is 7" by 3".
    This bill was clearly circulated. It has been folded and is wrinkled.
    I think I am seeing really old pieces of tape on all four sides of the bill as though
    someone had this taped for display.
    But I dont see any indication that the bill was actually torn.
    The detail of the print on this bill is really nice.
    The edges are crisp and have minimal damage.
